Family Formation K-6

Written by Abby Linwood

Welcome to Family Formation

This program is dedicated to the Holy Family.

We ask for their protection, guidance and intercession for all our Parish families.

Joseph and Mary were the first teachers Jesus had. He was trained in the faith within the confines of his home in the small town of Nazareth. Can you imagine the faith sharing they must have had? Theirs was a faith lived out at home and publicly. "His parents used to go every year to Jerusalem for the feast of the Passover and when he was twelve they went up for the celebration as was their custom" (Luke 2:41). It was in the home setting where Jesus' hunger for the knowledge of God was nourished. We hope to follow the example of the Holy Family.

Our Mission
We are the Church of the Immaculate Conception, an evolving and vital Roman catholic community with a rich history of more than seven
decades of ministry in the Columbia Heights area. Our Mission is to become Church by proclaiming and celebrating our Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ. We fulfill our Mission, by the grace of God, by responding to God's call to grow spiritually, to open our hearts in welcome,
and to invite participation in our worship, fellowship, education, and service ministries at every phase of our faith journey.
