Lectors

Al Haeg, John Ward – Scheduling and Training

Proclaiming the readings during the liturgy of the word at Sunday Mass or on feast days is far more than merely providing an introduction to the liturgy of the Eucharist or giving a history lesson or telling a story. We are sharing in the journey of a people attempting to understand God and their relationship with the divine. Our proclaimers of the word take their role within the Mass very seriously, and strive to make sure each and every person attending the Liturgy hears the beauty of each reading.

Our Mission
We are the Church of the Immaculate Conception, an evolving and vital Roman catholic community with a rich history of more than seven
decades of ministry in the Columbia Heights area. Our Mission is to become Church by proclaiming and celebrating our Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ. We fulfill our Mission, by the grace of God, by responding to God's call to grow spiritually, to open our hearts in welcome,
and to invite participation in our worship, fellowship, education, and service ministries at every phase of our faith journey.
